My name is Talena Carter and I am the hands and heart behind the art. I am a native of the Pacific Northwest residing in Elk, Washington with my husband and four kids. I know I have been an artist my whole life as I firmly believe in what Picasso famously said-" Every child is an artist. The problem is remaining an artist once he grows up."

I truly reconnected with my artistic self around ten years ago after a very vivid dream of two snow owls painted in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. I felt an invitation to start painting. With the help and support of my husband whose name is also Vince :) and a brand new set of acrylic paint and canvases gifted to me by a dear friend, I started my journey .

I love mixed media because of the variety and freedom it affords me. Recently I have been dabbling in oils and spray paint and have found those to be just as fun!

I love the power art has to bypass our heads and go straight to our hearts- no words necessary...all that to say I also really love words ! ( Haha)

I love my job of merging visual art with story in hopes of bringing us closer to one another and to God.

My heart's desire as an artist is to live a truly authentic and courageous life. Art invites me to show up in the most vulnerable of ways as each piece is a journey of self-discovery and God-discovery! May we never stop exploring either one.
