A Thin Place

I love the ocean. Something mystical and eternal resides there along the coastline. I feel incredibly small in relation to the enormity of the sea. For some reason that brings me great comfort. Here on the shore-heaven and earth touch, they merge as one. This is a thin place.  A reminder that my time on this side of heaven is short and temporary, but His love will continue on forever and ever. These thin places are merely glimpses into the overwhelming reality of eternity. An eternity spent exploring the shores of His love.
