Ablaze with Hope

I painted this sun conure, a bird ablaze with color, native to Brazil, as an act of intercession over the people of Brazil. Every brushstroke was a prayer that they would know how deeply they are loved, how closely they are watched over.

Bright against the dark, this little bird is a declaration that light belongs there, that hope, healing, and the beauty of God's presence are for the people of that land.
